A CDC 2021 survey of high school students shows how racism is linked to wellbeing. Of those with poor mental health, 68% of Asian/Asian American students, 62% of Black students, and 46% of Hispanic/Latine students reported experiences of racism.

Our mission

To empower communities to take actions against racism so that our collective actions will ultimately dismantle systems of injustice, decolonize education and health systems, reduce racial stress and trauma, and promote healing.

Our vision

We envision a world where all children have access to opportunities and supports they need to thrive.

How we will achieve our vision

We support systems in cultivating equitable and inclusive spaces for all through education, intentional conversation, skill-building, humility, healing, and advocacy. To do this, we:

  • Educate about the history of racism and how it currently shows up in our communities

  • Support communities in exploring individual and cultural identities and recognizing the impact of identities in our daily interactions

  • Increase capacity to engage in intentional and effective conversations about racism and injustice

  • Promote specific skills to disrupt racism and injustice in everyday personal and professional spaces through practice and feedback

  • Build emotional and social resources to reduce racial stress and trauma and promote racial healing

  • Empower individuals and communities to engage in activism and advocacy

  • Amplify voices of students, families, and educators who have been historically marginalized

  • Cultivate intentionality, accountability, and humility in educational and health systems

  • Strengthen community relationships and share information across systems
